In early 2006, Elio completed recording sessions on Shaky's first studio album for thirteen-years. This Sony/BMG album titled ‘Now Listen' is due for release in March 2007.

Throughout 2006, Elio has continued to tour extensively with his own band as well as with Suzi Quatro and Katrina Leskanich. To add to his busy schedule, in September 2006, Elio toured the UK with Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes. One of the world's greatest guitarists, Albert Lee has always been one of Elio's favourite musicians and was extremely honoured when he was invited by Albert to become a permanent member of the band.

In August 2006, Elio appeared on the soundtrack of the movie Severance singing a song written by Christian Henson and Caroline Lost called Summertimin'.

December 2006 saw the release of Elio's wonderfully uplifting Christmas single, What A Day. Once again featured by Terry Wogan on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show Wake Up To Wogan, What A Day looks set to become a Yuletide classic.

Elio is at present working on his new album due for release in January 2009.
