"He's terrific... They play brilliantly.
Elio Pace, wonderful!... Fantastic band, great singer"
Nigel Lythgoe
"An incredible talent, he's sensational"
Dave Lee Travis, BBC Three Counties Radio
"Elio Pace... one of the best kept secrets in the world"
Desmond Carrington, BBC Radio 2
"WOW!!!... a top notch favourite for corporate events... and I'm not surprised. We can all share in Elio Pace's good-time music via this CD which is called 'Come And Get It'. I'm sure a lot of people will"
Songwriter Barry Mason, BBC Radio 2 after hearing a live rendition of ‘Addicted To The Phone’
"I loved it. There's a great, great space in British music for a band like this, for a sound like this, for a song like that. ...There's no Billy Joel in Britain and there should be. There's no Stevie Wonder and there's room in that area for a band just like this"
Songwriter Barry Mason, BBC Radio 2 after hearing a live rendition of ‘Addicted To The Phone’
WHAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING ABOUT ‘A SEAT AT MY TABLE’
New Elio Pace album (Dr. Dance, Reactive Radio)
Well, this is what we've all been waiting for at Reactive Radio! We're delighted to be featuring tracks from Elio's new album "A Seat At My Table" throughout our programming - and making our recommendation that this is a must-have album for your collection! What, with all the doom and gloom surrounding the credit crunch - MP's so short of cash that they have to fiddle expenses...and the bad weather - it's fantastic to discover this real "feel-good" album! No matter what your musical taste, this is certainly one album you'll enjoy from start to finish...
Elio Pace - an extremely talented artist on the verge of big things... This new album is certainly going to do the business!
Don't miss this new release - "A Seat At My Table" is a must-have for your collection. Real instruments, stylish arrangements, catchy original tunes (written by Elio himself). A real worthy follow-up to "What A Day".
Great seat, excellent restaurant!
"A bottle of white, a bottle of red..... !" Perhaps a bottle of Rosa Records finest instead. Elio Pace returns with an album that doesn't disappoint. Once the cork is removed you immediately get the man himself, doing what he does best; driving a piano-fuelled album that rockets from track to track with energy and confidence. Stand out tracks for me include the clever "Sober Siri" featuring guitar legend Albert Lee and also the opening track and new single, "Addicted to the Phone" where Pace leaves you in no doubt you are in safe hands. But for all the power and gutsy arrangement it is the sheer quality and variety of songwriting that really impresses. Ballads, Cajun-shuffles and even the classic Stevie Wonder "Ebony Eyes" combine to surprise and excite. "Don't Spoil the Silence" is the coolest fusion imaginable whilst "Can't Get Down" just begs to be turned up so loud that your neighbours have to 'call the police'! I defy anyone to better the final brass barrage of "Thinkin" that rips through the final album track with a frenzy of Brian Setzer-ised virtuosity. In the back of the net, smell my cheese: give this man a second series! Anyone got Jools Holland’s number ?
Excellent
This is the best album I've heard in years. I heard the first track off the album on Terry Wogan's Radio Show which lead to me buying the whole album and I was not disappointed! Every track is an absolute treat! He has a covers album out as well (I think you can only buy it via his website though) and that's also top notch. I definitely hope he gets the credit he deserves for this. He's clearly a very talented man with a fabulous band.
Fabulous
I heard Elio Pace on Terry Wogan's radio show and am so glad that I 'googled' him and bought this fantastic album. There is not one song on the album that I don't like, but my favourites are the big band numbers, 'Thinkin' and 'Take you Home'. The brass arrangements are fantastic and the vocals are just first class. It is a breath of fresh air to hear real instruments played by real talented musicians.
Awesome!.. Buy it!
What a great album! There are some great tunes on there, from catchy Pop/Soul through to Rock ‘n’ Roll and Swing and all with brilliant vocals. The production is great too with a nice fresh sound to it. Elio Pace is a genuine talent and I’d recommend this album to anyone who likes good music. Buy with confidence.
Fantasic!
I am a massive fan of Elio Pace. I thought his last album of covers was good, but this new one of his own songs is outstanding. It is currently all I listen to! What a talent and I’m loving hearing him on Radio 2 again. Definitely worth buying to support the real talent in this country... you won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely fab CD
This is the best new music I’ve heard for a long time. Brilliantly written and produced by Elio Pace and his band.
Should be heard more.
Amazing Talent that needs to be heard !!!
Amazing musician and a great sound that needs to be out there in the public domain !
Timeless...
This is just an amazing album in so many ways. It's very hard to pin-point this guy's musical style - it's an exciting and feel-good blend of rock and roll, big band and Jazz...with a huge dose of Soul thrown in. Elio is obviously such a talented piano player...but his vocals are totally soulful! This album has something for everyone. For me, "Addicted To The Phone" really stands out - I first heard this on Radio 2 one morning and thought "Wow"! Classic. But also, "Take You Home" and "Still Want You" really shout out too. I have a feeling this will certainly become one of those all time classic albums - and in its original format as we have here (before a big label discovers and exploits it) - this CD will be very collectable in years to come. They don't make music like this anymore. Well Done Elio Pace!

Addicted To The Phone
This makes a big opening statement - "Here we are, listen to Elio Pace in full flight. Prepare to get hurt! - this is no easy listening ride!" It’s a fantastically well crafted song with an exciting arrangement, blistering horns and sexy BVs and a great performance from Elio. I love it!
Got The Bug Back
I love this track and I was worried that remaking it would never recapture the magic of Elio's original version, or improve upon it. But, of course this version perfects the masterpiece. So much soul, I get the old goose bumps listening to it! I love the chromatic BV descent on the line "He’s always dreaming of the way it could have been"
Still Want You
This could be one of my favourites. At the very beginning of the first verse one could wonder if it will be a maudlin, introspective type of thing. But as soon as Elio hits the second chord in bar five (Cm7) I knew he was going to take us on a much more masterful journey. I absolutely love the whole thing. Elio's vocal is astoundingly soulful. My congratulations to Peter Effamy for such lovely and inspired clarinet playing. Oh my God, I love this track.
Can’t Get Down
What a skilful treatment and arrangement. It’s a breathtaking performance; I can hardly keep up just listening! I love it.
Don’t Spoil The Silence
Quirky, fascinating and brilliant! I think there are several ‘radio worthy’ tracks, but I suspect this one would be a contender as it is so different from anything else on the planet. The production is full of interesting ideas.
You Loved Me Too
Such a moving song, so beautifully sung. This should be played on Steve Wright’s "Love Songs" forever. Gerry Hogan’s pedal steel playing is so subtly beautiful, a real touch of class. Oh my God!
Take You Home
Classic Elio! He's so good at this stuff. Another of Adrian Fry’s great horn arrangements. These horn players sound so good.
Katy Likes House
So hard to pick a single or a radio track, after all what do I know? But this could be one of them. It’s catchy, got a great feel and quirky hook. Lovely Elio Pace horns! Great performance all round. Love it.
Sober Siri
Albert Lee is perfect for the track, or is it the other way around? Anyway he sounds great on it. Another great song with interesting production ideas. Another radio track?
Ebony Eyes
Oh, I completely forgot I had anything to do with this whole thing! I feel very humble compared to all of the superb talent throughout the album. Elio knew what he wanted out of me - hopefully he got it! I think the song has come out brilliantly.
Lazy Days
If you’re gonna do the Blues, it should be done like this. Dirty, sexy and interesting from start to finish. Oh boy!
Oh So Tight
Another great song and amazing performance.
Thinkin’
Did anyone get hurt that day?! Everybody around Elio knows what he expects and they are determined to deliver. What a stupendous arrangement Paul Newton has done on this and a brilliant performance all round. This final track is so exciting, utterly brilliant! The long build to the end is outrageous!
A great seat at Elio’s table
I've just received and listened to Elio's new CD 'A Seat At My Table' and I can tell you that he has done a GREAT job. I can't wait to hear it many times more!
When I listen to track 1, 'Addicted To The Phone' I hear a great Tom Jones with the feel of James Brown.
'Got The Bug Back' - it gives a Summertime feel. Love the bass in it. Great piano solo and horns!
'Still Want You' - I like the feel of it. Quality!
Rock and Roll with 'Can't Get Down' like the White Stripes but 'Can't Get Down' is 5000 times better!
The new Lenny Kravitz is born on 'Don’t Spoil The Silence. Very original and with a lot of tension in it! Great!
'You Loved Me Too' - A song with “hit” potential. Brilliant! Gerry Hogan on Pedal Steel is also fantastic.
The next, 'Take You Home' with the fantastic Big Band feel. Great track. Great piano solo. Well done Elio!
'Katy Likes House' - as an amateur drummer I could listen twenty times in a row to the beginning of the song. Great David Garibaldi-style drumming from Jack Pollitt!
'Sober Siri' - that’s also my cup of tea. Albert Lee plays great guitar on it and it’s a song that was made for Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes and I hope they play it when they (with Elio who plays piano for Albert also) come here to Holland in September.
Next, 'Ebony Eyes' - Stevie Wonder!! = Elio Wonder!!
'Lazy Days' = 100% Blues with some nice accents in the song!
'Oh So Tight' - Elio is such a musical talent. I’m entertained by him... solo at the piano! Fantastic song!
What a high level on 'Thinkin’. Love the feel. Super final song!!
As a drummer myself, I love the drum work of all three drummers on this album; Jack Pollitt, Paul Murphy and Steve Ruston!! Good variation! Such a high level………..I can only dream of that! And of course the great percussion of Ray Cooper! But compliments to all of Elio's musicians!!
BRILLIANT NEW CD!!! I am going to listen to it many times more!

COME AND GET IT - THE ELIO PACE BAND
"Elio must give a storming live performance if this recording is anything to go by. Backed by an army of ultra-professional musicians, the frontman singer/pianist certainly knows how to deliver. In fact the entire band sound like they unerringly know how to make your event go with a real bang. With numbers ranging from Stevie Wonder to the Mavericks, Jerry Lee to Georgie Fame, there is something here for everyone looking for a good time and there's no doubting the ability of this gang to party like its 2999.
Hire them!"

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING ABOUT ‘WHAT A DAY’
What A Day (Dr. Dance, Reactive Radio)
I guess it was a couple of years ago - the radio alarm came on early one morning to the sound of Terry Wogan's breakfast show on Radio 2. I was half asleep, but became aware of this fantastic sound coming out the radio - an upbeat festive song with a difference - "What A Day". The combination of Elio's powerful and soulful vocal - against a feel-good swing-style brassy backdrop certainly grabbed my attention. So much so - after Terry back-announced the song, I immediately went to my computer and downloaded the track from iTunes! I played the song several times on (BBC) Glitterball - and on the shows I covered on Christmas day and boxing day. "What A Day" was certainly popular with the listeners too - we actually had calls from people asking "Who was that?"
The New Soundtrack to Christmas!
Wow! I keep hearing this on the radio! And NOW AT LAST I can buy it! This ranks up there with the best of them as a new addition to my seasonal classic song playlist. A rarity too, being specifically a tune about December 25th . Elio Pace really captures that confident happy bounce that kicks you into the holidays. Great to hear real musicians let loose in the studio too as opposed to the over produced pop ditties trawled out for the current troupe of reality wannabees. This tune will always be around. Amen!
What A Fantastic Christmas Song!
One to play for years to come! Let's hear more of it on the radio so more people can enjoy the brilliant singing and production - and make it the big hit it deserves to be. Elio should be a big star!
The Best Yet!
Move over the Wizard's, the Slade's and the fly by night attempts at the Christmas Number 1!
'What A Day' has been too long in the making. Congratulations Elio Pace for the best contender for not only a Xmas Chart Hit, but more than that, a classic song for EVERY Christmas. The Big Band feel and the production quality mixed with great vocals from EP has given me the lift I needed into Xmas. Buy it, Buy it, Buy it!!!
What A Song!
Full of Christmas cheer! Dean Martin, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Harry Connick Jnr. It's got echoes of this lot PLUS Elio and his band of merry men. I'm gonna stick this on permanent repeat this xmas 'cos I love it!
What A Day!
What a song this is! I think I'll listen to it all year round, let alone Christmas. Best song I've heard in ages.
What A Day.
Excellent song and a brilliant singer. Just as I was getting tired of the same old Christmas songs along comes Elio Pace with something new and different.
At Last A Different Christmas Song!
Great song for the future, great voice and it makes you feel really happy!
